Nola

I have a PhD in psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Creative Writing and a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry. During my 23 years as a university academic (finishing in 2013), I gained invaluable experience in teaching, writing for publication and editing students’ work. My 20-plus academic publications include refereed journal articles and conference proceedings, book chapters, student workbooks and a consultancy report.

On the creative side, I have had more than 70 poems and 60 short pieces published in various magazines, journals and anthologies in Australia and overseas. This material has included true stories, magazine and newsletter articles, devotional material and short fiction. My debut novel Scattered was the fiction runner-up in the 2017 FaithWriters Page Turner competition. It was published by Breath of Fresh Air Press in 2020. More details can be found on my author website.

Through my studies and my own publishing journey, I’ve gained valuable experience in critiquing a wide variety of manuscripts. I would love to work with you to help you take your project to the next level.

Tim

I have a Master’s degree in Special Education, a Graduate Diploma in Education and Honours degree in Mathematical Physics. For 20 years I was a university academic in mathematics and computing (finishing in 2013). I worked previously as a high school teacher, a scientific officer in health physics and a census officer, and have published in each area.

I have considerable experience in teaching, training, and preparing training materials for both print and online media, including technical diagrams, graphs and mathematical typesetting if required.

I have completed training in proofreading and copy editing through the Publishing Training Centre in London. As an editor, I specialise in non-fiction and have worked on academic theses and technical papers, biblical history and theology books, biography, memoir and self-help books, even business letters and curricula vitae.

If you have a non-fiction project, large or small, I would be happy to help you if I can.
