Thank you Nola for this post. There are some wonderful tips here. I loved reading "The Librarian" ;-) (very amusing). I have never considered myself to be any good with poetry; maybe I will give it another fling when there is time. I may surprise myself. For this reason I chickened out of 'the month of poetry in January'. There were other reasons such as just having too many things that I am working on, including study; but the main reason still remains 'chicken' :D
Hi Josephine-Anne - Thanks for that. I had fun with The Librarian :) I've been doing MOPs and it's fun. It's a little different this year in that the organiser hasn't been putting up locked pages each day. So instead, a smaller group of us are contributing to a closed Facebook group that Jenny O'Hagan set up. There are maybe 10 people who put something up most days. It's a really supportive atmosphere. People come from different backgrounds and are at different levels in their poetry, but everyone is welcomed and encouraged. It's fun seeing what people come up with each day. And you don't have to post every day. Hope you can join us next year. Appreciate your comment.
